A Blog About 2025 Writing Goals and Schedule

So I was asked what my plans were over the next year or so.  Now normally such a question would get a series of smart ass responses and never would get an answer of any substance cause I’m a clown like that, but in this case it got me thinking,”what am I doing over the next year or so?”  Well after getting over the existential nightmare of the question I quickly opened up my writing desktop on my computer and looked at the literal hundreds of ideas I have on it and decided that “well shit, lets figure this out.”  So I’m using my weekly blog post to let you…

Outsider Publishing is Now on Patreon!

We’ve got some exciting news to share with our incredible community of creators, readers, and supporters—Outsider Publishing has officially launched a Patreon! As many of you know, we’ve always been about giving a platform to voices and stories that live on the fringes of mainstream publishing. We believe in stories that break the mold, defy the status quo, and challenge the norms (after all we are the rebels of the written word)—and we’re so grateful to have grown together with a community that shares this vision. Now, with the launch of our Patreon, we’re taking things to the next level. This platform will allow us to bring even more bold, unique,…

The Year that Santa Stopped Existing-Part 1 of 3

Every Christmas Eve we would all gather in the van, big green stinky ass hazard it was, the booger machine and other dumb ass nicknames our childhood friends had given the tank, and we would make the trip to a family members house, usually my 2nd cousin Sue (who despite being our second cousin, we all called Aunt Sue). It was me, my sisters, all four of them (well two were technically not sisters, they were my mom’s live in boyfriend’s daughters, but had been there for by this point, five maybe six years, I’m not sure on the full timeline really, a horrible thing to hear this early…

The Outsider Manifesto Part 2- Why Outsider Publishing

Another Indy publisher, why should we care?  While dismissive and kinda arseface thing to say it is a valid question.  In today’s flooded market you do need a reason for people to care and we get that.  We feel that if we can not offer something unique then we shouldn’t be offering anything.  So then the question becomes what do we offer that others do not….  That is somehow both an easy question to answer and an incredibly complex one to explain.             The first thing that we need to establish is that all creators deserve the outlet to get themselves seen.  This is one of the founding principles we set our foundation upon. Not every creator…

A Blog in which I give The Outsider Manifesto

Part 1 Rules to the Game 1.  Readers are our family.  We aren’t creating readers we are creating a community.  We will treat them right; without them we are just shouting at the moon by ourselves. 2.  We respect out family above all else.  Again, we need them more than they need us, there will be other books for them, we might not get more readers without them . 3.  Creators are to have freedom to tell whatever story they want, no subject shall be off limits, only good taste and common sense shall limit what we publish. 4.  We DO NOT TOLERATE anything hateful.  We will NOT publish anything…

A Blog In which I Write I Write A Bunch of Times

I write stuff that pisses people off.  It’s not something I’m ashamed of, it’s not something I’m proud of either, its just part of the job description.  A writer writes in order to get a reaction.  Sometimes we are trying to get you to laugh, sometimes we are trying to get you to cry, sometimes we want you to think and sometimes, not often but sometimes our intent is actually to piss you off.  The more visceral your reaction, whatever it is the better I’ve done my job.  I write things that make people Laugh  Comedy is something I’ve always been rather adept at.  Not that I’m capable of a…

A Blog Were I Admit My Biggest Fear

When I tell people I’m a writer the conversation goes something like this: “What do you write?””Porn…but just the Dialogue””Really?””No…I write stories, short, novels, film scripts, comics, I just write. After a quick who is on first routine about what I write until I find out that they are really asking about genre not medium, I tell them I write splatter pop. After explaining that it’s a horror style that is heavily influenced by pop culture, they always follow it up by asking since I’m a horror writer, “what scares me?” The trick to that question is I can not answer it, but only because the list is way to…

I grew up loving horror, Stephen King was a house hold name in our family. It is no wonder that I wanted to grow up and be a writer. It is also why I love horror movies.
