    Chapter 3- The Last January

Tina ate her apple pie, still warm and crispy, in silence as she stared across the Plymouth in amazement at TJ as he was finishing off his Big Breakfast, having already put down the Egg McMuffins, with hash-brown added of course.        “So we going to talk bout this shit or what?”  Nancy cut to the chase and asked the question they were treating like the pink elephant. “We all three apparently had dreams..nightmares…” the words probing for a response, which the unspoken acknowledgement  on their faces gave her the confidence to continue. “…now it has to be more than a fucking coincidence that all three of us had…

    Chapter 2- The Last January

Nancy Craven loved the way the cold warm water felt on her cold naked body.  Not in a perverse way, though it hitting certain areas didn’t feel bad if you know what I mean, just in a god damn this is what being alive is about kinda way.  After not getting her beauty sleep that much lately, the shower has become her sanctuary.  It is the one place she can be alone and unbothered by all the bullshit she calls her life.        THUD THUD THUD.  Pounding on the fucking door at exactly the right time to make her a fucking liar.  Well played God well played.  THUD THUD…

    Lessons from Our First Anthology

Embarking on the journey of creating our first anthology was an exciting and daunting adventure. As a creator, I’ve always found joy in storytelling, but curating an anthology taught me lessons I never anticipated. It wasn’t just about compiling stories-it was about telling a whole story with short stories. It was the hardest thing I ever done in my writing career so far. Here are some key takeaways from the experience: It’s Not as Easy as It Looks From the outside, creating an anthology might seem as simple as collecting a few stories, editing them, and publishing the final product. However, the reality is far more complex. Each step—from conceptualizing…

A Blog About Life or A Personal Goodbye in the Form of A Public Blog

This is a blog I knew I’d have to write someday, but one I really never wanted to write.         In life there are many people you will encounter, most of those people will have no impact on it, just a numbers game not a slight against them.  A few of them will help you out, will move you further along your journey to wherever it is you are going, some on purpose so by sheer chance.  In that small group that help you intentionally, there is an even smaller group that will do so at cost to their own selves, be it financial or in some cases physical and…

The Legacies of Salem: A Year on the Edge of Fate

Chapter 1- The Last January                       One, two..You know it’s true                       Three, four…He’s Ready for War                       Five, six…Across the River Styx                   Seven, eight…Open the Gate                       Nine, ten….He will Rise Again…        The sweat poured off Tina’s freezing skin.  Three Sixteen in the morning, yet again.  Third or fourth time in the last week isn’t it?  The sheets sticking to her skin or freezing to it?  Least this time she had not pissed herself, small favors.  What the hell had that dream been?  The words they were strange, disturbing, almost demonic feeling but the imagery, oh God, the imagery that accompanied them, that was were the terror truly was.…

    Decembers Number are in!

I really wish we could do a year in review post but considering we have only been in business a few months I don’t think that is something that I should do (maybe thinking about it). So, we will finish off the year with where we stand for the month of December. This has been a great month for us, we did a pretty good launch, and I can’t wait to see what we do next year. If you read the last blog of mine we can see all the things that we want for the coming year and that means that we have planned many stories for it. I…

An Introduction to the Legacies of Salem

Let me start by giving you the elevator pitch:A group of teenagers battle the end of the world, their own feelings and hormones and various evils in the early 90s in Salem, Mass. Ok.  That was the elevator pitch, but Im in good with the publisher so I got to by pass that part and literally only did it for this post (Truth matters).  But that is the way I pitched it to my partner originally, well with more colorful words and likely slurred speech as I was drinking that night…. But the elevator pitch is not where this story started.  In many many ways the story of the Legacies…

The Year that Santa Stopped Existing

Every Christmas Eve we would all gather in the van, big green stinky ass hazard it was, the booger machine and other dumb ass nicknames our childhood friends had given the tank, and we would make the trip to a family members house, usually my 2nd cousin Sue (who despite being our second cousin, we all called Aunt Sue). It was me, my sisters, all four of them (well two were technically not sisters, they were my mom’s live in boyfriend’s daughters, but had been there for by this point, five maybe six years, I’m not sure on the full timeline really, a horrible thing to hear this early…

A blog to end a series of blogs or The Year Santa Stopped Existing Part 3 (of 3)

(Editor’s Note:This is part 3 of a series telling the story of how I became aware of the truth about Santa Clause as I still understand it.  These events were over thirty years ago, they may not be exact recreations of the moments as they truly happened but they are exact recreations to the way I remember them.  Part 1 can viewed here: (https://outsiderpublishingcompany.com/the-year-that-santa-stopped-existing-part-1-of-3/) Part 2 can be read here: (https://outsiderpublishingcompany.com/the-year-santa-stopped-existing-part-2-of-3/). Around Christmas Eve, we will upload the three parts as one long post and drop it if you want to read the entire thing together.)        So no Genesis would be had this year, no biggie, was looking forward…
