A Blog Just Cause I Should Write A Blog Even Though I Do Not Feel Like Writing A Blog
Well this week turned out differently than I expected it to, lol.
I fell behind my schedule, how far? Well all three scheduled stories for this week are not finished(though two should be by time this goes live). On top of that one from last week has not had its final pass over yet. It sucks but as my collection these are for isnt until next year I am ok on that, its not a huge deal but do need to get back on schedule, just for my own mental health sake long term.
As for why I fell behind this week, some thing distracted me, some minor vote or something that took place. I like most liberals apparently forgot about it this time…..Anyway between the election and then watching coverage for two days, that was a huge reason I fell behind. Not an excuse as I said I got distracted, its on me and Im working on getting back on track.
Good news is as I said “Outbreak”-the covid 19 inspired story, and “Prey”- the story Im not going to describe because telling you anything gives it away, should both be done by time this goes live. “The Monster Resides on Roma” will not be, it has been slightly more difficult to write than I thought it would be. Im still new to this in lots of ways and figuring out how much of myself I can bleed out onto a page is part of the learning process.
As for what is on the agenda this week-”A Certain Kind of Giggle”-a fun little slasher in the woods story, “The Hideous Malformed Man”- a dark psychological horror about guilt and what evil men do, and “WiFi Goodbye”- a touching personal story about sibling bonds. Two of the three are fully plotted and only need dialogue and a few details added for a first draft to be done. “WiFi” needs a bit more work but believe that I can still be caught up, or at least close some of the distance by next week.
Beyond that we are ramping up for the launch of “Christmas Chaos” around Black Friday. We are finishing up formatting and adding the finishing touches to the package. Halloween is over, the “Holidays” have begun, its time to prepare for the darkness, the looming dread, it is time to embrace the Chaos.
